Assistive technology solutions

You want to lead an active and independent life and do as you please without restraint. At CAT,
we strive to provide you with commercially available or customized assistive technologies that will help you interact to the greatest possible extent with your family, in your workplace, and in your community.

Perhaps you need a synthesized speech device to communicate with your co-workers or a custom-fitted power wheelchair to stay on the move. Whatever you require, our interdisciplinary team of physicians, therapists, and rehabilitation engineers (most of whom are board-certified assistive technology practitioners) will work closely with you to connect you with the right equipment.

Our experts, most of whom also are teaching and research professionals in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh, will talk to you confidentially about your condition and life goals. After identifying your assistive technology needs, they will recommend an appropriate device or product to help you attainyour highest level of functioning and self-sufficiency. And at CAT, we seek to provide the compassionate, personal service you deserve.
