Providing comprehensive services

CAT’s professionals can help you select, acquire, and learn to use many types of assistive technology devices. After you receive the device, our practitioners also provide support to answer any questions and ensure your satisfaction.

We offer the following products and services:

  • wheelchair seating and positioning
  • personal mobility systems
  • augmentative communication devices (speech output devices)
  • audiology services, aural rehabilitation, assistive listening and alerting devices, and hearing aid dispensing
  • specialized computer equipment and software, such as adaptive keyboards, monitors, and voice programs
  • ergonomic workstation design
  • environmental control units for work, school, or home
  • recreational devices, such as cycles and skis
  • consultation on vehicle modifications and related adaptive equipment
  • adaptive driving evaluation and training
  • environmental accessibility and recommendations for home modifications

CAT has an extensive collection of commercially available assistive devices that are demonstrated
and used as part of a client’s evaluation process. This enables you to actually try out particular devices before deciding which one is right for you — much like test-driving a new car before purchasing it.

CAT also has a comprehensive audiology lab to evaluate clients who are hard-of-hearing or deaf and require hearing aids or assistive listening technology for optimal function at work, school, and in the community.

During your initial consultation, assistive technology equipment suppliers may be present to answer your questions to save you time. CAT works closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure devices are readily available to you.
